MCSI Water Systems Management : The Journey of Water

MCSI Water Systems Management

MCSI providing water services for over 60 years

In 1988 MCSI was formed to provide professional drinking water system management, operations, maintenance and compliance services for small and medium sized Water Companies, Water Associations, Mutual Water Companies, private water systems, and publicly owned water service operations.

MCSI was founded by the Hatch family, local Carmel Valley and Salinas residents for more than 60 years.

For 35 years MCSI has worked with over 200 water systems with a focus on water system operations, maintenance, state and local health department compliance, and treatment solutions. MCSI also provides water sampling services and reporting for domestic drinking water, agriculture, and industrial operations for discharge and some waste water systems. We also provide backflow testing replacement and repair for our clients.

With water system operations and reporting come duties required by water regulatory agencies such as the California State Water Boards, State Water Resources Control Board, Monterey County, Santa Cruz County, San Benito County Health Departments, and the California Public Utilities Commission.

MCSI has worked closely with these agencies to keep clients in compliance with ever-changing and increasing laws and regulation. MCSI has worked with other state and federal agencies and programs such as FEMA and the California State Revolving Loan Fund to help clients navigate emergency and compliance funding and water project approvals.

As a member of the American Water Works Association, MCSI has the resources and knowledge necessary to guide clients in their need for safe, clean drinking water.

MCSI has partnered with many local businesses who can provide materials, engineering, controls, electrical, backflow testing, construction, laboratory, accounting, legal, and tax reporting services as they relate to water system management.

MCSI can assist with the formation or update of water agreements for Water Associations, Mutual Water Companies and private water systems, as well as Home Owner's Associations and Community Service Districts.

MCSI has worked with many residential community boards of directors to educate and assist with the proper creation of water agreements and rate structures.

MCSI covers nearly all aspects of drinking water system management and continues to grow and evolve.
